Privacy policy

Who this policy is from

eBuy Homes is a new and very small real estate investment company buying in the Des Moines metro. We say that here because a privacy policy is only as good as the people behind it, and you should know you are dealing with a small operation rather than a large one with a compliance department.

What we collect

Almost nothing, because there is nothing on this site that asks for it. There is no sign-up, no account, and no form anywhere that requests your name, email or phone number.

If you press the button on a result page saying you would like to talk about selling, we store the address you were looking at and the page it came from. That is the whole record, and it is all you sent. We have no way to contact you and did not ask for one.

Addresses you look up are recorded so we can see which parts of the county the lookup is used for. That log is not linked to you.

What we do with it

We read it. That is the entire purpose.

We do not sell your information, and we do not pass it to investors, lead brokers, or marketing companies. If you have received unsolicited calls after filling in a form on another "we buy houses" site, this is usually why: your details were the product. This site does not collect them in the first place.

Who can see it

We are a small operation, so in practice this means the person reading enquiries, and, only if you proceed to a sale, the title company handling your closing. We use ordinary service providers to host this website and send email; they process data on our behalf and cannot use it for anything else.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries while they are potentially live, and delete them on request at any time. If you do sell to us, we keep transaction records as long as the law requires.

Having it deleted

There is a wrinkle worth being straight about: we have no published contact address yet, so there is currently no route for you to send a deletion request. We would rather say that than print a promise we have no way to honour.

What makes it survivable is that the record is almost nothing. If you pressed the button on a result page, we hold one street address and the page it came from, with no name, email or phone attached to it and no way to tie it back to you. When a contact route is published, this section will say so and requests will be honoured from that point.

Cookies

This site sets one cookie, which keeps your session working while you use the form and prevents accidental duplicate submissions. There are no advertising cookies and no third-party tracking pixels on this site.

Contacting us

We do not have a contact address published yet, so there is currently no way to send us a privacy request. In practice there is very little to request: the only thing this site stores about a visitor is an address you chose to look up, and only if you pressed the button asking us to get in touch. We never ask for your name, email or phone number.
