What does Polk County say your house is worth?

Type an address and we'll show you the assessed value the county has on record for it. No sign-up, no phone number, and nothing gets emailed to you.

Where this comes from. Polk County publishes an assessed value for every parcel in the county, and that record is public. This page reads it back to you. It covers Des Moines and most of the metro, so Ankeny, Johnston, Altoona, Urbandale, Clive, Windsor Heights and Pleasant Hill are all in there. If your address is in Dallas or Warren County we do not have it yet.
What an assessed value is. It is what the county assessor has the property down as for tax purposes. It is not an appraisal, and it is not what a buyer would pay. Those numbers are often different, sometimes by a lot, because the assessor is not walking through your kitchen. Treat it as a starting point rather than an answer.
